Sugarcane Juice

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups sugarcane peeled and chopped into cubes
  • ½ inch piece ginger peeled
  • ½ lemon squeezed
  • ⅛ to ¼ cup water adjust as needed for consistency
  • A tiny pinch salt optional to balance sweetness

Method
 

  1. Peel the sugarcane and chop it into small cubes. prep
  2. Transfer the sugarcane and ginger to a mixer.
  3. Add a little water and blend until the sugarcane is well crushed.
  4. Strain the juice through a fine strainer, pressing the pulp to extract as much juice as possible.
  5. Repeat the process with any remaining sugarcane pieces.
  6. Squeeze half a lemon into the juice and add a pinch of salt if desired.
  7. Serve chilled and enjoy immediately!
